Increasing cost of postage getting you down?
As we put that extra 1 cent stamp on our letters (unless you stocked up on Forever Stamps, which is likely a good investment) you are feeling the pennies of increased postage and delivery. How can you decrease delivery costs and increase response times to customers?
As the price of crude continues to increase, so will the cost of delivery. Direct marketing is still an effective way to advertise and hand written thank you notes are still nice to send and receive. At the same time more formal communications don’t necessarily require physical delivery. I send out most of my invoices through email, a few by fax, and even less by mail. Digital delivery is quick, easy to save, and often more effective for busy professionals who need to receive things when they are available and wherever they are located. Next time you are thinking about mailing out a form, invoice, or packet of information, ask your client, would you prefer this in an email instead? It could save both of you time and money.
