Proactive eMail Marketing
Picture yourself sitting back one afternoon brainstorming new marketing strategies. You have a database of existing customer information. You might even have some additional databases for potential customers, warm leads, etc. You need a cost-effective marketing plan that is easy to implement and track.
If your existing databases include eMail addresses, you are in luck. Email marketing is, by far, the simplest and least expensive way to reach a specified audience. If your databases do not currently contain eMail addresses, stop reading and start collecting. Otherwise, read on…There are two main types of eMail messages you may utilize for mass marketing. The first and most basic, are plain text eMails. With further planning, design, and development, HTML eMails may also be constructed.
HTML eMails have many inherent benefits over plain text messages. One benefit of HTML is the ability to display eye-catching graphic design. Professional graphic design goes a long way in helping to convey the appropriate message and garnish the appropriate response. Another benefit of HTML is the ability to format your content within an integrated layout. Mindful layout and properly formatted content dramatically improve eye-tracking and reader retention. More often than not, companies choose to mirror the design, layout and navigation of their existing website in their eMail messages. This seamless integration between website and eMail marketing fosters increased brand awareness and website visibility, which are both essential goals of this process.
Email marketing helps you to:
- Generate New Customers & Leads
- Distribute Newsletters
- Advertise Sales & Special Offers
- Disseminate Industry News & Press Releases
- Inform of New Products & Services Available
- Keep Customers Up-to-Date on New Business Policies & Procedures
- Stay in Contact with Existing & Potential Customers
As you can see, eMail marketing is a powerful tool for any business owner. If you are not taking advantage of this opportunity, you are missing a wealth of marketing potential at your very fingertips.

Keeping your customers and prospects informed is an important part of business development. I find it difficult to find the time to stay in touch with all of my customers, prospects, and partners individually. A regular newsletter allows me the opportunity to stay in touch with all of these individuals. It also allows me the secondary benefit of staying in touch with my own business’s progress and products. Often I get caught up in sales, customer service and delivery, so writing a newsletter gives me the opportunity to reflect on my company and industry. Think of it as a promotional journal, reflecting on the past and future success of your company.

That last statement is very true Jason… “Think of it as a promotional journal, reflecting on the past and future success of your company.”
Now tie that eJournal into a custom Blog site and reap the rewards the internet has to offer. Namely archiving, feedback systems, eCommunity services & real-time tracking.
Its so sweet and the implementation is not as expensive as most people believe it to be
